  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My friends and I chose to defy genre traditions for our music video. During the research process, I looked at various rap songs' music videos, specifically those by the same artist (Tyler, The Creator). Because Tyler, the Creator, is such a well-known artist, my initial assumption was that I could base our music video on his general themes. Tyler has a very unique way of producing music videos with surprising outfits and outlandish setups. For example, in the music video “See You Again” Tyler has a set on a naval ship and a small boat at sea, so the idea of trying to make our video similar to Tyler’s music videos was abandoned. That would ultimately be unattainable for my group. We didn't have any money to spend on costumes, sets, or activities. This is why we decided to focus on the fundamentals of our relationships.   Keep in mind that a solid edit may make or destroy your video. So, take your time with it. Begin by arranging your video footage. Make folders, name your clips, and save your life later. Remove the dull parts and keep only the good details. Transitions are on your side. Smooth cuts and creative transitions can help your film stand out. The mood is set by music. Color and lighting should be adjusted. It's similar to applying a filter to your Instagram photographs, except it's for video. Remember the sound. Enhance the audio by removing background noise and adding sound effects. Maintain simplicity. Less is sometimes more. Avoid using too many effects and transitions. If you learn them, you'll be editing like a pro in no time.  Editing can be a marathon, so don't overdo it. Request comments from friends or coworkers. Things that you may have overlooked can be noticed by new eyes. Because technology advances, keep up to date on the latest editing software and techniques.
