Sound blog

We chose Steve Lacy's tune Dark Red for their background music. We're using the instrumental version. Using the instrumental allows the non-diegetic sounds to be heard above the music. It will also keep the major focus on the movie rather than the music. This is because the song is quite popular. The music video for this song may appear cheerful, but the song itself generates an ominous vibe. This is ideal for our video; it allows us to build suspense. Using a popular song in our video is a strategy for attracting a younger audience. I emailed the record label, which distributes this music. I emailed him, but I have not received an answer yet. Me and the rest of the bunch decided to direct message Steve Lacy (the song's creator) on Instagram. Although we doubt he would react, it is better to get permission than to proceed without it. We continued filming and utilizing this song because it is an instrumental version. We're hoping to hear

Editing production blog

We will finally begin editing. We will follow the storyboard as it has the exact depiction of what we’d like the viewer to see. We are going to be on the phone with the person who is editing the blog while they edit. This allows us to be there through the process. Us being there helps the process go smoother cause we all can know what's happening and not have to have the person who is editing change things last minute. We waited to edit till we finished all filming. This helps us be able to know what we need to take out or add. We ended up over filming so we will need to cut scenes. I recorded different audio so we have a cleaner sound for the film. I recorded things like crying, swinging, and door slamming. I don't think it will take forever to film but we need to hurry. Our project is going to be due soon so we are trying to keep pace. We have lots more to go but we are making progress in editing. I really do enjoy being a director because I can’t edit that well myself. I app

The crew decided to utilize iMovie to edit this film. We'll continue to utilize Cap Cut for some things, but we've decided to stick with iMovie. We took this option because we believe it will make the video look cleaner. Our choice for iMovie arises from its ability to improve the video quality. Nijah is the primary editor for this project. Even if majority of the videos are on my phone. The group believes that Nijah's modifications are better for everyone. We agreed to this when she edited our previous project. This decision also provides Nijah more additional work. She is not seen in the actual recordings, therefore she will be able to contribute to the group without being on camera. Nijah's previous editing experience makes her an ideal candidate for this assignment. We trust Nijah's editing abilities. Using iMovie provides different editing features than Cap Cut. Even though Nijah is the primary editor, everyone's cooperation ensures that the editing style

We filmed today again. It's always hard to plan but we finally figured it out. We had to film the girl walking home and the man stalking her. I spent a decent amount of time trying to get them to act right for the film. I am basically the director of the film at this point. I am the one filming so I have to tell them how to act because I can see how it looks. We took about an hour and thirty to film. we got it done but, not as quick as other times. We were working much slower due to it being cold outside. We also had to figure out how we were going to film certain scenes. One of our group members was supposed let us film in their house. unfortunately, their parents said no at the last minute. I don't really know why so it was kind of annoying. I am in clutch with an idea. I knew a friend nearby. They originally said they were busy but as time passed, they let us. I was very happy because it was our last resort. We were in and out, so we didn't invade their space. I had fun

We met up again! This time we were able to finish planning our film and have everything down pack. We did have a few complications with trying to schedule. This happened due to people trying to figure out if they are available or not. I sometimes have to redirect the group to remind them this is not just a grade but, is our exam. They tighten up and start to remember the goal and we end up getting stuff done. We did film recently and got the about 1/4 of the project done. I liked how it came out. I felt we did it in a timely manner. I shot the from different angles and positions. I even filmed some audio for the video to enhance the video. Everyone was very cooperative and did their job. We had some of our actor's improv some scene and they looked pretty good. I'm glad that they added improv because it helps the film look better. After we finished filming, we went out to eat. We enjoyed our food and ate well. It's nice to work with people you can hang out with. While were

Tomorrow is the day we begin filming our project. I am really excited. We've been planning this for a while, and it's finally happening. The script and storyboard are ready. We've got the coolest ideas to make things move smoothly. Everyone in our group is energized and ready to start. I can't wait to see how it looks through the camera. It'll be exciting to watch our ideas come to life. My friends and I have practiced our scenes. I'm all set up and ready to capture our magic. This is our moment to shine and showcase our creativity. I'm feeling both nervous and excited, but mostly excited! I keep thinking about how great the finished video will be. We have an excellent team working on this project. It's going to be a day full of laughing, entertainment, and filming. I had palpitations in my chest just thinking about it. This project will be the highlight of our academic year. I've never felt more enthusiastic. I'm counting down the hours until
