Sound blog

We chose Steve Lacy's tune Dark Red for their background music. We're using the instrumental version. Using the instrumental allows the non-diegetic sounds to be heard above the music. It will also keep the major focus on the movie rather than the music. This is because the song is quite popular. The music video for this song may appear cheerful, but the song itself generates an ominous vibe. This is ideal for our video; it allows us to build suspense. Using a popular song in our video is a strategy for attracting a younger audience. I emailed the record label, which distributes this music. I emailed him, but I have not received an answer yet. Me and the rest of the bunch decided to direct message Steve Lacy (the song's creator) on Instagram. Although we doubt he would react, it is better to get permission than to proceed without it. We continued filming and utilizing this song because it is an instrumental version. We're hoping to hear back shortly about whether or not our work is copyrighted. This music will be used sparingly in the background. It will be played in the background to keep the audience's attention on the film's main theme.t will also be played at a reduced volume in some scenes because they contain voiceovers. We're excited to use this music. Each member of our group appreciates Steve Lacys' music. So, integrating his music in a video allows us to have fun with our project. The entire group is ecstatic.
