AICE Media Studies

 The technology I used was mainly TikTok and Cap Cut. I used cap cut to make the video because it's easy to use. I felt that even though it's a free app that is commonly used, the video still came out very nice. I especially liked the transitions and text that the app offered. I made my video on my phone and added pictures and videos from my camera roll. I used TikTok to extract audio to use for my commercial. I had to record videos of the sound and then post them on TikTok to extract the sound for my commercial.  I learned a lot from the process of putting this project together. I never used capcut to make a commercial like this so it was a whole new experience for me. I also never extracted a sound from TikTok to make a video on cap cut. I also never thought of this project in general to make a commercial about myself. I did find myself learning a lot about myself while making this commercial.  My commercial is going I really well. I added 2 pictures of the movie I was going to put it in. I put in a picture of the title sequence and a picture of the movie distributers logo. I wanted to add another photo because I felt it was too short with just one photo. With the 2 photos the commercial looks nicer.  I added the song "Infranmi" instrumental by Steve Lacy. This song is really good, and the instrumental is super good. I then added an outro to my commercial which I wasn't sure I wanted to do. This was good I added an outro because it made it look cleaner. I liked that I changed my font for each section. For the Barbie description I made the font pink. I added a brief description for each of the photos and videos. I like the descriptions because it helps the watcher know what they are viewing. I used the same song for my movie section and outro. I also added the same song for intro and pics of me. I felt like the making the song last longer would fit better. Overa

 So far, my production is going well. I feel like it looks well put together and is uniform. I added effects so that my music doesn't have a hard stop to the next song but has a smooth transfer. I also decided to use a more recent photo of me and my friend at Barnes and Noble. This photo includes just me and one other friend. The friend in my photo does go to my school, contradicting what I said in my previous blog that I only really go to Barnes and Noble with people who don't go to my school. Regardless, we still had fun and got lots of work done. I also decided not to add a photo of my record player. I decided not to do this because I am adding 2 videos of 2 different concerts. Since I am adding 2 videos of a concert, I feel like adding a photo of my record player would make my commercial a little too centered on music.  As I started my production, I decided to add an introduction. I said my first name, the school I went to, and some pics of me. I also made cute little fonts and amination to the words for the intro. I used the song "Pilot" instrumental by Tyler The Creator for my intro. I thought it would be nice because it's really bubbly. I am using capcut to make my video because it's easy to use and straightforward while also making my commercial look nice. I was planning to only use two songs, but since I decided to add an intro, I might add 1 or 2 additional songs for my pictures and videos. I also was only planning to use 3 photos, but I added pics of me to the intro as well. I added pictures just to show my face so you can see what I look like. After I added the pictures of myself, I decided to add a video instead of continuing with pictures so there is a balance in my production.  My first goal in my production is to pick which photos I will be using. I am going to use 1 image for each section. My sections are Barnes and Noble, music, and movies. I believe these pics are some of the most unique parts of my life or niche hobbies that I have. My first photo is about Barnes and Noble, which is me with my ipad, friends, and drink. This photo means a lot to me because my friends who I go to B&N with friends don't go to my high school. It's always fun to hang out with friends I rarely see. Me and my friends might talk to each other more than we do our work, but I would still consider our outing productive. My second photo is of my record player and my vinyl records on my desk. I really love music, and the album on top is my newest record, which is deluxe to Tyler, the creator's album "Call Me If You Get Lost."  For my commercial, I will be talking about the interests that I love and why I love them. I will discuss my love for Barnes and Noble, Music, and movies. I want to split my commercial into sections of interest. I will include a Picture for each section, 2 videos of me doing my interest, and 1 song that I like for my music section. I chose to section my commercial like this because it will flow better and look cleaner. For the section about Barnes and Noble, I want to add a picture of me and my friends studying there. I love studying with friends there because I can talk to them and do work as well. One of my favorite things in Barnes and Noble is Starbucks, so the picture will most likely include me, my friends, and our drinks.  Hi, my name is Callie Brown. I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School in the Cambridge program. I love hanging out with friends and going to Barnes and Noble. Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite places because I work better in workspaces. I love hanging out with friends because it is a way to destress after doing lots of schoolwork. I took Aice media studies because I love movies. Watching movies is one of my favorite hobbies, and Jordan Peele is my favorite director. My favorite film distributor is A24 because my favorite movies are from them, such as Waves, Moonlight, and Mid90s. A24 produces the best movies for me because they are all so deep and have a significant meaning.
