 As I started my production, I decided to add an introduction. I said my first name, the school I went to, and some pics of me. I also made cute little fonts and amination to the words for the intro. I used the song "Pilot" instrumental by Tyler The Creator for my intro. I thought it would be nice because it's really bubbly. I am using capcut to make my video because it's easy to use and straightforward while also making my commercial look nice. I was planning to only use two songs, but since I decided to add an intro, I might add 1 or 2 additional songs for my pictures and videos. I also was only planning to use 3 photos, but I added pics of me to the intro as well. I added pictures just to show my face so you can see what I look like. After I added the pictures of myself, I decided to add a video instead of continuing with pictures so there is a balance in my production. I added a video of me showing my outfit while conversing with a friend. We were talking about albums because we were in the music section. You can tell from the background that we were in the music section due to the albums in the back. She was telling me what albums she saw and which ones she wanted to get. I also added another song for my video, which is "If Looks Can Kill" instrumental by Destroy Lonely. I like this song because the beat is really good. I plan on continuing with adding the photos of my interest and then another video. So far, I like how my commercial is coming out. I am about halfway done with my video. I can't wait to see how my commercial comes out when it's finished.

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My friends and I chose to defy genre traditions for our music video. During the research process, I looked at various rap songs' music videos, specifically those by the same artist (Tyler, The Creator). Because Tyler, the Creator, is such a well-known artist, my initial assumption was that I could base our music video on his general themes. Tyler has a very unique way of producing music videos with surprising outfits and outlandish setups. For example, in the music video “See You Again” Tyler has a set on a naval ship and a small boat at sea, so the idea of trying to make our video similar to Tyler’s music videos was abandoned. Reviewer #1 The first reviewer praised the foreshadowing at the start of the sequence, when the kidnapper is visible in the distance behind Jasmine. She also enjoyed the scenario with the empty swing, which led to the kidnapping. However, she admitted that she didn't really get the concept of Jasmine's revenge in the last scene. I believe this is due to our decision not to have Imani hold a knife in that scenario for safety reasons. I don't think we'll solve it, but we'll compensate with voiceover.  Reviewer #2 The second reviewer said they enjoyed the entire movie. They did not suggest any specific improvements. However, they noted that the second part of the sequence appeared to be a little off. They said it was more unprofessional than the first.
