 My commercial is going I really well. I added 2 pictures of the movie I was going to put it in. I put in a picture of the title sequence and a picture of the movie distributers logo. I wanted to add another photo because I felt it was too short with just one photo. With the 2 photos the commercial looks nicer.  I added the song "Infranmi" instrumental by Steve Lacy. This song is really good, and the instrumental is super good. I then added an outro to my commercial which I wasn't sure I wanted to do. This was good I added an outro because it made it look cleaner. I liked that I changed my font for each section. For the Barbie description I made the font pink. I added a brief description for each of the photos and videos. I like the descriptions because it helps the watcher know what they are viewing. I used the same song for my movie section and outro. I also added the same song for intro and pics of me. I felt like the making the song last longer would fit better. Overall, I think my commercial is really good. Even with using a free app like capcut. I think that my commercial is cute and gives people a deeper look at me. I am now 100% done with my commercial I can't wait to upload it!

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My friends and I chose to defy genre traditions for our music video. During the research process, I looked at various rap songs' music videos, specifically those by the same artist (Tyler, The Creator). Because Tyler, the Creator, is such a well-known artist, my initial assumption was that I could base our music video on his general themes. Tyler has a very unique way of producing music videos with surprising outfits and outlandish setups. For example, in the music video “See You Again” Tyler has a set on a naval ship and a small boat at sea, so the idea of trying to make our video similar to Tyler’s music videos was abandoned. Reviewer #1 The first reviewer praised the foreshadowing at the start of the sequence, when the kidnapper is visible in the distance behind Jasmine. She also enjoyed the scenario with the empty swing, which led to the kidnapping. However, she admitted that she didn't really get the concept of Jasmine's revenge in the last scene. I believe this is due to our decision not to have Imani hold a knife in that scenario for safety reasons. I don't think we'll solve it, but we'll compensate with voiceover.  Reviewer #2 The second reviewer said they enjoyed the entire movie. They did not suggest any specific improvements. However, they noted that the second part of the sequence appeared to be a little off. They said it was more unprofessional than the first.
