Production blog

Hello, bloggers! Today, I’m going to talk about the necessary props and dress code we used for filming. Before we started filming, we often had to move objects around to make the scene look better. We were lucky to have a wide-open space to film in, which was my living room. There were already blankets scattered around, which helped us set up the scenes more easily.

One important part of our film was making sure we were dressed correctly. Since the setting was a slumber party, we needed to wear pajamas. Most of us brought our pajamas to school and changed before we started filming. We didn’t have any specific color requirements for our outfits. This helped everything look more natural and realistic.

For props, we used several items that we already had at home. One of the most important props was a candle. This helped create an eerie atmosphere and made the lighting more dramatic. We also flickered the lights to make certain scenes more intense. Another prop we used was a deck of Uno cards. This made it clear that the characters were having fun before things took a dark turn.

Natalie also created a deck of tarot cards for a key scene in the film. This small detail helped make the storyline feel more authentic. Another major prop we used was a bottle of pills for the overdose scene. To be safe, we crossed out the actual name on the pill bottle. We also made sure to throw away any leftover pills after filming. Since we didn’t have a fake replacement, we had to be extra cautious.

Overall, the props and dress code played a big role in making our film feel real. We made sure every detail fit the story we were trying to tell. Even small objects, like the Uno cards, helped set the right mood. The candles and flickering lights added to the suspenseful tone. Our pajamas helped the characters feel more relatable and natural.

Filming required a lot of planning, but everything came together in the end. We worked as a team to make sure each scene looked the way we wanted. Every little detail helped make our film more immersive. Even with some challenges, we managed to create a believable and engaging setting. I’m excited to see how everything turns out!
