  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My friends and I chose to defy genre traditions for our music video. During the research process, I looked at various rap songs' music videos, specifically those by the same artist (Tyler, The Creator). Because Tyler, the Creator, is such a well-known artist, my initial assumption was that I could base our music video on his general themes. Tyler has a very unique way of producing music videos with surprising outfits and outlandish setups. For example, in the music video “See You Again” Tyler has a set on a naval ship and a small boat at sea, so the idea of trying to make our video similar to Tyler’s music videos was abandoned. That would ultimately be unattainable for my group. We didn't have any money to spend on costumes, sets, or activities. This is why we decided to focus on the fundamentals of our relationships. Friendship. Rather than creating a video about money,...

Reviewer #1 The first reviewer praised the foreshadowing at the start of the sequence, when the kidnapper is visible in the distance behind Jasmine. She also enjoyed the scenario with the empty swing, which led to the kidnapping. However, she admitted that she didn't really get the concept of Jasmine's revenge in the last scene. I believe this is due to our decision not to have Imani hold a knife in that scenario for safety reasons. I don't think we'll solve it, but we'll compensate with voiceover.  Reviewer #2 The second reviewer said they enjoyed the entire movie. They did not suggest any specific improvements. However, they noted that the second part of the sequence appeared to be a little off. They said it was more unprofessional than the first. Reviewer #3 The third critic stated that they loved the actors' facial expressions. They did express a desire to hear additional diegetic sound throughout the sequence to break up the music played. They believed that...

The technology I used was mainly TikTok and Cap Cut. I used cap cut to make the video because it's easy to use. I felt that even though it's a free app that is commonly used, the video still came out very nice. I especially liked the transitions and text that the app offered. I made my video on my phone and added pictures and videos from my camera roll. I used TikTok to extract audio to use for my commercial. I had to record videos of the sound and then post them on TikTok to extract the sound for my commercial.  I learned a lot from the process of putting this project together. I never used capcut to make a commercial like this so it was a whole new experience for me. I also never extracted a sound from TikTok to make a video on cap cut. I also never thought of this project in general to make a commercial about myself. I did find myself learning a lot about myself while making this commercial. There is a lot about me so I had to be specific on what information I wanted to in...
