Before we start filming, we had to decide when. We chose to film on the weekends. We chose that because we are all very busy people. We do lots of extracurriculars and have jobs so weekends work best. We do have afterschool as backup days if needed. We picked Diana Point for our location to film. Diana Point is a plaza that is in our area. The Plaza isn't too far from us so it was a great pick. We also picked it because it has many places such as a big parking lot so we can film one of our scenes. The plaza also has places for us to film our other scenes, such as bowling and ice cream. This will be fun and we can be productive. For our outfits, we are dressing casually. Due to the fact the music video is about friends hanging out, we don't have a need to dress up. We also aren't going anywhere fancy for the video. We all dress pretty similar to each other. We should wear jeans and a shirt or jacket. One of our friends is a little more dressy, so they could wear a sundress or something. Filming will go great. We are going to have fun and work hard. Hopefully, everything goes as planned.

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  My friends and I chose to defy genre traditions for our music video. During the research process, I looked at various rap songs' music videos, specifically those by the same artist (Tyler, The Creator). Because Tyler, the Creator, is such a well-known artist, my initial assumption was that I could base our music video on his general themes. Tyler has a very unique way of producing music videos with surprising outfits and outlandish setups. For example, in the music video “See You Again” Tyler has a set on a naval ship and a small boat at sea, so the idea of trying to make our video similar to Tyler’s music videos was abandoned. Reviewer #1 The first reviewer praised the foreshadowing at the start of the sequence, when the kidnapper is visible in the distance behind Jasmine. She also enjoyed the scenario with the empty swing, which led to the kidnapping. However, she admitted that she didn't really get the concept of Jasmine's revenge in the last scene. I believe this is due to our decision not to have Imani hold a knife in that scenario for safety reasons. I don't think we'll solve it, but we'll compensate with voiceover.  Reviewer #2 The second reviewer said they enjoyed the entire movie. They did not suggest any specific improvements. However, they noted that the second part of the sequence appeared to be a little off. They said it was more unprofessional than the first.
