Production blog: editing
I made the decision to modify using Cap Cut. I had to listen to the song on repeat a few times to know what I wanted to add. I started by adding my clips. Since we were conversing in the background and I didn't want the music to interfere with that, I just muted them all. I then matched every clip of film we had to the corresponding section of the song. To be honest, I took a different turn than I had planned. I didn't follow the storyboard's arrangement because, as I discovered, it only matched our conception of how we wanted it to appear—not at all. Fortuitously, I captured Nijah hanging outside the sunroof for approximately two minutes. Thus, the scene would change to "sunroof" each time the audio said it. I employed simple transitions. Though I wasn't sure, I knew I wanted to contribute more.
